Jeanne Kisacky is a writer and architectural historian whose research focuses on the interaction of design and health. She has studied architectural design as well as architectural history and taught classes at Cornell University, Syracuse University, and Binghamton University. Her publications have focused on the history of hospital design up to World War II.

She considers the hospital as a community element–influenced by urban context, nursing strategies and patient communities as well as by theories of disease and ever-changing medical practice.
She is currently working on a history of post-war hospital design and construction, focusing on the Hill-Burton Act of 1946 which spread hospitals and hospital design standards to all corners of the country.
